What can we do to protect our planet really? This is the most controversial. However, of the best actions you can take, this is number one by a huge distance. Do think about what sort of world you may be bringing children into please! It might be your motivation for change!

The very best action is not to have a car at all. Think about why you use a car. Does your family have two cars ? You don’t need two cars.
When you replace a car think. Why buy a new electric car? Sure it has zero in driving emissions, but not zero emissions overall in its own right. The damage caused by building that car is tremendous. The electricity it consumes is mostly fossil fuel derived.
A further interesting development of late is the explosion in sales of SUV’s or traditionally four wheel drive agricultural vehicles. No-one needs an SUV, not even farmers, not really. There’s a reason they are rudely referred to as Chelsea Tractors.

- ( even renewable energy infrastructure has a huge CO2 output ). You cannot choose to have renewable only electricity. Car manufacture in the UK is responsible for X percent of UK emissions.

Twenty Five percent of the humans on the Earth are Vegan or Vegetarian. That is 2.5 billion beings.
However you do not have to become either. The key is to cut down meat eating and dairy, particularly red meat. Fast food burgers ( we cant mention names ) are not a part of a decent diet, especially for children! McDonalds uses over one million tonnes of beef a year. That is ten million animals.
