Does a Dry Autumn and Winter Matter?
Of course it does. A dry autumn and winter is already well underway. September had less than average rainfall for the UK. That is one month down and reservoir levels are still falling. October in England was just about average. This only leaves 4 months to make up a deficit. We need steady prolonged rain not sharp downpours. Groundwater needs to be replenished, moors need to be re-wetted massively. Next summer is more likely to be dry and hot again rather than wet.
